I’ve always believed that life’s challenges test our limits, but they also reveal our true strength.

After graduating with a psychology degree in 2019, I found myself in a tough job market. The opportunities I saw didn’t align with my goals, and I realized that a bachelor's degree in psychology wasn't enough to get where I wanted to be.

I had a choice: continue my education or find a job that would challenge me in new ways.

Growing up in Vegas, I was familiar with the hustle, but sales wasn’t something I had ever seriously considered. When a random job application led me to insurance sales, I had no idea what I was getting into.

My parents, who had always valued stability, were skeptical when I told them about my 100% commission job. But I was determined to make it work, even though I knew it would be hard. And it was hard.

It took me four attempts to pass the state licensing exam, and just as I was about to start, the world shut down due to COVID-19. We were training on Zoom, starting at 5 AM every day, and when we finally got back to the office, I hadn’t made much progress. But I kept going, putting in long hours, seven days a week.

It became a habit—what else was I going to do?

Then, just three weeks after returning to the office, I was in a four-car accident. My car was wrecked, and I felt like giving up. But a colleague helped me see that things weren’t as bad as they seemed.

Shortly after, I lost a close friend in a tragic accident. It was devastating, but I used that pain as motivation to hit a critical milestone in my career, issuing over $100,000 in annual volume.

The real turning point came during my first open enrollment, a crucial period in the insurance seasons. My dad, who had battled health issues for years, passed away during this time. Despite the immense grief, I pushed through, driven by the habits I had built in this business. That week, I achieved my best results to date, and it marked a turning point not just in my career, but in my life.

Today, I’ve issued nearly $4.5 million in personal business and lead a team that’s produced over $25 million. The challenges I faced—starting my career during a pandemic, surviving a car crash, losing a friend, and my father’s death—have only strengthened my resolve.

I’ve learned that when life gets tough, you have to keep going, because you never know how close you are to achieving what you truly want.

This is my story, and I hope it inspires others to push through their darkest moments and find their own path to success.
